It is located in the town center of Taşköprü. This ancient city was founded as a state center by the Romans BC. It was established in 64. A part of the city was removed with archaeological studies in 1983, but a large part of the city is still under the ground. As a result of these archaeological studies, many mosaics were removed. These mosaics, the Zodiac Mosaic, the Nereid and Okeanos symbolizing the Gökırmak river and a mosaic with the Greek alphabet were found. These mosaics are currently exhibited in Kastamonu Archeology Museum.
