Hadrianapolis Ancient City

It is located 3 km west of the center of Eskipazar in Karabük Province, and is located in the area called ‘Viranşehir’ and scattered on the land around it. It is a living space founded in the 4th century in the Roman period. This habitat was discovered in 2005. Numerous historical remains were found during the excavations. An important feature of the mosaics, including female, male, animal and fruit figures, is that they have four river personification and names in heaven according to the Christian belief. This kind of composition has not been found in Anatolia yet.
