Küre Mountains National Park

Küre Mountains National Park is a national park located on Küre Mountains in the west of the Black Sea Region. Park is located within the borders of Kastamonu and Bartın provinces. Küre Mountains National Park covers an area of ​​103575 hectares, with buffer zones forming its immediate surroundings. The national park itself is 34018 hectares. Küre Mountains and forests are very rich in terms of vegetative diversity. High karstic plateaus with little human impact, bear a healthy and wild forest ecosystem, contain old and dry trees, rich plant associations, suitable shelter and nutritional conditions for animals living in the forest. The biological importance of Küre Mountains Mili Park is due to the different living environment it offers for many animal species. It also enables many alternative tourism types such as trekking, bird and wild animal observation, camping and natural product collecting.
